Hydergine
Hydergine is the oldest of the drugs to improve learning ability and memory in young persons of both sexes. In clinical analysis, showed that this therapy improves blood flow to the brain, increases oxygen in the brain, increases the metabolism of brain cells, preventing damage to brain cells, increases the ATP level, and improving the use of energy from glucose in the brain.
Piracetam
Piracetam is a derivative of GABA, which increases the sensitivity of the receptor neurons of the brain responsible for learning and memory. Studies in animals and humans showed that this drug can improve memory, increases attention and concentration, and improves learning. Piracetam is the “smart drug” most powerful and commonly is used to increase intelligence, creativity and ability to process information.
Vinpocetine
Vinpocetine effects are similar to those of Hydergine. Among the clinical benefits of taking vinpocetine, proven in humans, are also therapeutic and counteract the dizziness, headaches, vision and hearing problems, insomnia, irritability, mood swings and nervousness. Vinpocetine increases blood circulation to the brain, which in turn improves cognitive functions and prevents downtime.
Chromium Picolinate
It was shown that this mineral helps lower blood glucose (sugar) levels and is considered a potential anticoagulant. In one study, the contribution of chromium picolinate extended the lives of laboratory rats. After 41 months, 80 percent of the rats that received chromium were alive. In human studies, chromium picolinate has decreased fat and increased body mass, in addition to lowering blood cholesterol level. Other studies with chromium picolinate did not produce the same results.
Phenytoin and phenformin
In 1980, Russian scientists reported that the drugs phenytoin and phenformin life increased by 25 percent and 23 percent respectively in a mouse autoimmune disease.
Phenytoin is a drug approved by FDA, commonly prescribed to treat epilepsy. Some studies showed that phenytoin is useful in combating a wide range of ailments such as depression, headaches and neurological disorders. The phenformin is a drug that is prescribed mainly for diabetics because it lowers blood sugar in patients with this condition may have anticoagulant effects. Both drugs have serious side effects that hinder their use for long periods.
Picamilon
This drug is a sense that Russia’s anti-aging therapies in question. It has been shown that this drug is better than Hydergine and Vinpocetine in regard to improvement of cerebral blood flow and also reduces the flow of oxygen to the brain (ischemia.)
Piritinol
Recent studies showed that the Piritinol could become effective against Alzheimer’s disease. When compared with Hydergine and placebo, produced Piritinol continuous improvements in cognitive function, even more than those treated with Hydergine.
Pregnenolone
The Pregnenolone is known as the “mother hormone” because it is the precursor of a large number of hormones such as DHEA, testosterone and estrogen. Studies have shown that pregnenolone has a powerful stimulating effect on the memory and can be taken to significantly improve cognitive function.
Testosterone
Sexual stimulation hormone in men and women is testosterone, which decreases its action on men and women of advanced age. Testosterone plays an important role in maintaining muscle mass and strengthen bones. This hormone is commonly provided to older men and women, as a cream, but there are oral and intravenous administration.
Estrogen and Progesterone
These “female” hormones play an important role in the maintenance of bones, sexual function, mental and, in women, ease the effects of menopause. Recent studies indicate that estrogen could become an effective treatment against Alzheimer’s and other neurological diseases.
Both estrogen and progesterone are available in all versions (natural or synthetic, oral or cream). There is strong interest in the use of phytoestrogens present in plants, since it has an estrogenic action safely, and could reach the estrogen-based drugs.
