Are you looking for an intense workout with extreme results you (and everyone else) can see? Your choices come down to two great workouts, both from Beachbody. To get results that are dramatic and really do look like the “after pictures” you see, you’ll have to choose between the Insanity Workout and P90X. In a contest of P90X vs Insanity, you get equally dramatic results using both programs so it all comes down to what type of workouts you prefer.
If you read a P90X review, you will see the program takes 90 days. The Insanity program takes 60 days for basically the same results. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the Insanity program is going to be faster paced. The workouts themselves in the Insanity program are shorter in duration but very intense. They incorporate MAX interval training so you’ll be doing rapid, strenuous exercises then you get a short break. P90X has you working on one or two body parts a day for a longer period, they call it “muscle confusion”. Muscle confusion helps you avoid plateaus where your muscles get used to the same exercises every day.
For dramatic results quickly, I’d go with the Insanity Workout. It will get you dramatic results in 60 days, not 90. However, I read in a P90X review that the P90X feels more like a traditional workout so if you’re old-school, go with the P90X. It’s just slightly easier too.
