According to the World Health Organization, more than 700 million children (almost half of the worlds) breathing air with cigarette smoke at home. Experts warn of the harm involved. So how to avoid the risks of passive smoking at home.
Cigarette smoke “second hand” is very harmful to children. Therefore, the League Argentina to Fight Cancer (LALCEC) is aimed at parents, “passive smoking is hazardous to your salad and your family. Give your child a smoke-free environment snuff.” Ms. María Inés Lick, president of the association, explains that “parents are unaware of the tremendous damage they are causing to their children by allowing them to breathe air contaminated with more than 200 harmful substances, including many highly carcinogenic.”

Recommendations for parents to avoid the risks of passive smoking at home:
- No exposure to tobacco snuffs another without danger. For this reason and because they care about their children, protect them.
- Try not to smoke or allow smoking in your home or car, even if children are not present.
- Teach children to stay away from smoke snuff.
- Do not smoke during pregnancy or in the presence of pregnant women.
- Take your children to daycare or school without smoke.
- Keep them away from restaurants or other public places where smoking is allowed.
- If you smoke, ask your doctor what you can do to stop.
- Be a role model for their children. Do not smoke!
